Normally they just take off the audio and leave the video in my experience. Not that I use Youtube that much. I had the music cut from a space game demo I put up. They left the video alone though.

Ummm...you just linked his music.

Like I said, you don't know Skrillex. It's not his decision anyway, it's Warner Brothers who banned the video.

Pop some decent music on it instead then re-release it.

nope, but skrillex is quite the "I LOVE MY FANS THEY LIKE MY MUSIC I COOL TO THEM" kind of celebrity... anyyway you should ALWAYS ask, if you THINK he would be cool with it is IRRELEVANT, to put up someone elses music you need written permission.

keep that up and you will see you youtube banned in no time =P 3 warnings it usually is.


especially considering a game TRAILER means your using his music for your benefit

As far as game trailers go, most of it as blocked by the ironsights on the gun.

Very difficult to tell what it's about exactly when it seems to be shooting Nazis in the streets.

Just seemed like really flashy gameplay to me.

Set to irritating music.

Some different angles establishing the setting would have been nicer.

From watching the trailer I have no idea at all what the game is about: I'd have to assume it was just some mindless shooting of bad guys.

I refuse to believe that you went to the extent of sending Skrillex a letter asking to use his music even though you already knew that "he'd be cool with it".

Like the others said it would be better if I got in contact with him first...

I have been trying for a long time now and I never really get a reply or anything...

Make your own music and give up trying to get this Skrillex character's music in your trailer. Money usually changes hands when this sort of thing happens and I don't think you have either the money to pay him, or will make enough return on your game to make it worth his while.
