People who write books aimed to teach programming KNOW the programming language they are trying to teach hahahaha, why would they need other programmers to write it for them?
For me anyway, I found that most code that I saw that wasn't mine, I had to study every aspect of it before I understood how it worked.
It's best to learn programming rather than use other peoples believe me. And when you need to 'look' for C++ code, tutorials.
It's just a google a way. I myself have a book that I use mostly for reference at the moment.
A programmer is a problem solver through a through, and when there is no possible way to do something in his/her mind, they will come up with a solution.
I would actually feel, for lack of a better word, yuck, working with someone else's code, if it was an example given by someone else, I would study the code to understand it thoroughly, then personalize it to make it my own.
Also unless it is code that I have worked on WITH the person in a team.
Bottom line, you're hardly can be called a programmer if you BUY source code. There are no shortcuts in programming.
Aside from functions and subroutines.
^ all lovely constructive criticism.
