Malevolence was featured in the newsletter a while back, thanks to everyone who voted for it in the Indie Game of the Year nominations. The authors want to let you know that they did in fact get nominated and are in the top 100 games (out of 5200 titles competing) and also ranked fourth in the unreleased Role Playing category. But now the nominations are over, the final round is in full swing and there are 10 days of community votes to see who the winner is. You can vote to make a DarkBASIC Professional game a winner at this link.

Wait, isn't it being made with GDK ...and some engine which is their very own?...

...oh yes it is.

Well, i don't really like it, but i appreciate the hard work, so i voted.

Technically it is a nice achievement, though i don't like the art direction, and mainly, which isn't the developer's fault, i just run for my life from any games offering randomized for-ever-gameplay.

-In.Dev.X: A unique heavy story based shoot'em ~35%
-CoreFleet: An underground commander unit based RTS ~15%
-TailsVSEggman: An Sonic themed RTS under development for idea presentation to Sega ~15%

Aha, I voted for yours after taking a look at some of the other games. The others have awesome concepts, but I think malevolence has the most polished look by far. Of course I'm biased because I watch all of your dev videos ;D
