I'm shocked that more people from TGC aren't involved with Ludum Dare.

I expected after entering this weekend to come onto TGC and find a huge thread dedicated to it with loads of entries.

Oh well, I entered at least.

Someone by the name of zapaman managed to find me from TGC, not sure who you are but "Hai" - "Did you enter as well?"

My entry:

If you entered and are just hiding it, vote for Cowbox. !

Oh and here's a timelapse for anyone who doesn't really care but wants something cool to watch:

I had never heard of this, It looks fun. However, at the same time, I was looking at some of the blog posts, and it sounds like its a competition where a bunch of talented game makers show of there speed and skill by making a solid game in just a weekend while egged on by a bunch of useless addicted gamers. Don't take that the wrong way. That is just what I saw in the first 2 minutes. It still looks fun though.

@ DeadTomGC There's a quote I read on LD, that truly shows the spirit of it, it came from a beginner LD-er, to a widly-know developer! What he said was: "Congrats, you managed to finish your game in 48hours! You are as good as I am"!

What I love about LD is that you get things done! It's a creative environment, with both indies and industry veterans. And hey, in just 1 weekend, 734 new games where made! Nice, ha? It's a great experience!

And everyone of those games had more thought put into them than the average modern movie.

+10 internetz for that! But in all seriousness, allot of those games have great thought mechanics and great atmosphere, and for 48 hours, that just crazy.
