Geek Culture / problem installing the windows SDK 7,1

ok, this is really annoying me. Im trying to install the windows SDK 7.1 and every time i try it tells me it failed. not sure what to do, i even installed the newest updates and SP 1, nothing....

You're running Win7, I'll assume:
- Do you have FULL admin rights?
- Did you disable all system defences while installing.
- Check ACLs on folders that are installed to. Some exclude Administrrators and only allow "SYSTEM". Google how to get around this.
- Note, sometimes Win7 and Vista say "Program failed to install" when it actually HAS installed properly. There are a complex number of explanations for this. Try using the SDK and ensure it really didn't install.
- Before a fresh install, make sure it is uninstalled 100%.
- Try installing in safe mode under Admin (You can run the install from cmd.exe.
- Pray that one day Microsoft will allow "sudo apt-get install WinSDK7.1" from the terminal

*sigh* i'll figure it out later, right now Im getting ready for christmas Hmmm, maybe if i installed AVAST? but why would 7.0 install and not 7.1? I need 7.1 to run applications built with 2010 this D3D11 engine someone made wont run unless it has winSDK 7.1
