Please make a quick draw animation, that would be super, then the player can walk around town with gun in holster, engage in conversations, perhaps they get out of hand and the player has to press the fire button to draw the gun, and press again to shoot, press fire to soon and you would shoot at the floor as the gun isnt fully drawn, press when fully drawn and targeted and shoot. I dont expect this to be scripted in the pack, but if quick draw is in the animations it can open up possibilities.

Who needs a can when you have a vast selection like that on offer, Mungo will be pleased.
Anyway, you've got some great stuff here for the Pack and good to see you back.

Cheers

Models and textures: The Cosmic Prophet.
Custom Animations: Starmind.

(Please excuse the audio. Still need to try some tweaking to get my screen captures working right). Thanks.

Many thanks to Starmind for his awesome animations!

Rather than straight re skins on the same model that look similar, it would be a good idea to move the verts around to make the models slightly different as well.
one can also make parts that can have a transparent tex so one can edit out areas, for example the neckerchief, this is a good way to allow customization on models, as it allows one to edit out parts of a model.

see example here from very old project of mine
http://www.damageready.com/dune/downloads.php
see how I put an alpha channel on the Fremen characters mask for the other characters.

Did someone say a Ninjas pack? Yes, a Japanese themed Ninja/Samurai/Japanese Mythology pack would be nice. Many a time have I thought of shooting an Oni in the face with my AK-47... okay just once about ten seconds ago, but you get my point. Also, I'm a fan of your models and I'd like to say this is some really good stuff you're turning out! Where was I- oh right... HIIIIYAH!

This pack is looking better and better each update. The animations look great, and certainly gives us developers some vast options to explore in developments.

Update: Hi Guys. Dropped by to show some progress on the new pack.

here's the new horses, and riders. They have multiple texture variations, and are fully animated by Starmind, including weapons of various types like a pistol, rifle and shotguns. Great for simulating bank robberies, Indian attacks, and the like. Custom scripts are included as well.

This is a shot of the town. Riser platforms will be added for all the buildings, as well as a ton of props from hitching posts to street props of all kinds.

And finally (for now) here's the train station.

I'll post a few more after the weekend, as I get the scenes built. These will include the new Saloon, and Mining Camp, and the new Snake Canyon entities.

My personal thanks to Starmind for Joining in on this pack. We have a lot more coming my friends, so stay tuned!

Would appreciate a little feedback, to get an idea if this is something that you guys could use, and if the direction we're heading is worth the effort that's going into making it. I chose this theme due to multiple suggestions given in the model pack ideas thread, but don't want to kill myself making a really huge, and comlplex pack, if only 4 or 5 of you will ever use it.

I would rather spend the time making stuff you guys want, and can use. Rather than wasting time on an unpopular theme. Be honest with old Cosmic, and let me know your thoughts, good or bad. Thanks guys!

You can check out the cool "rider-run" animation in this short video here.......>

I love the new stuff that you and Starmind are doing for this Pack and in paticular I think that Starminds 'horse' animations are 'Fantastic' and your cowboy characters are nothing less than insperational.
To tell you the truth, I can't see why any Theme could be concidered uninteresting and I can't for the life of me see why users are not responding to such wonderful creations which you are developing here for this Pack.
Maybe you and many others (too many to mention) have 'spoilt' us all for so long that some of us are taking things for granted which is a terrible shame because they may just live to regret it some day in the future.
I for one would just like to say that your and many others efforts will not go un-noticed by me and you will 'always' have my support.

Thanks for all and all the best of luck for the future.

This pack is becoming super awesome, I think its a case of 'you build it they will come' many users around here would be inspired by a pack like this, myself included.

Awesome! Its one of those threads.

Dale,

I can only echo Ross' comments and add that any and all media you and Starmind make is greatly appreciated. All media from the artists here does get used in one form or another, regardless if the theme is popular or not. People like you, Willow, Rolfy, Ross, and others are what help us developers continue to produce our developments.

Thanks Ross! And Rolfy, you da man!! And I knew my buddy Blackfox would show up.

Please don't get me wrong people, I'm not fishing for compliments here, as I don't view them as important as the feedback of the items themselves, in relation to they're need by the community. But rather, I'm trying to find out if this theme is desired enough to warrent it's production.

Since the only tool I have, is your overall reaction during the build process, it's the only way that let's me know what you guys need and want, or don't want for your developments.

So please, go ahead and post your thoughts. If you like 'em, and can use 'em let us know. If you hate 'em and will never use anything like this, Cuss me, and tell me to move on, and I will! majority wins!

Thanks again my friends, let us hear from you. Your pal always, Cosmic.

i see this pack and wanna instantly make a game called "The Dark Tower I - The Gunslinger" where its all about 2 men wandering through the desert, one a gunslinger, the other a magician. they pass the same locations and let their deadly footsteps there before they finally battle their last stand in the desert. story includes a boy that goes with the gunslinger, dont know how he entered this setting, meet mutants and degenerated humans when passing mountains ...

... wait, that sounds familiar....

great pack, best locomotive ever (and you did the coal waggon, nice ).

need to get longcoat-variations on the cowboys ... and a fly. ^^

... oh, and Claudia Cardinale would be awesome!

Starmind: LOL,thats cool buddy, the Mining Camp is almost ready. I was planning to post these along side of it.

Anyway, as shown, there are 3 types of metel for the mine. Gold, Silver and Copper. Pretty good for a one-armed mouse slinger.

The mining camp includes a few buidings, and a collection of mining equiptment as well.

I have to double agree with Rolfy.Blackfox Ross and all the forumers. If you never use it this is still worth having.FPSC has needed a pack like this for a long time. Talent like yours, starmind, Rolfy not to leave out anyone contributor to FPSC

Sorry Dale, meds for my shoulder screwing with my head. Do hsow pics with the mining pack.

Here is the high poly sculpt of the rock. You wouldn't think it would take so long to make something so simple, it took me atleast 4 good hours to sculpt, texture and make it fpsc ready.

Enjoy the video.

Very nice Rock (and variations) Starmind which will be useful in many other Genres as well.
I modeled a large rock a long while back and also realised that its not one of the easiest things to do once started (yours is perfect and mine not so good).
This is going to be a great Pack when finished.

Hope your shoulder gets better soon and all the best of luck to you and Cosmic.
