Okay, so I'm downloading a DooM mod from mediafire and this ad pops up (damn flash ads, if only AdBlock could tell between them) about this new browser called "RockMelt" then I go on YouTube and they have this whole ad about some guy called Toby with some whole fake story that nobody cares about, this is basically google chrome with some crappy facebook and twitter auto-tabs to the left and right, I mean, are people really too lazy to wait ten seconds to open a new tab to check their statuses etc? I think I've just lost some faith in humanity.

Ad here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bAPKPhoTqFY

Then again, this is all just my opinion, and the browser is only in beta, comment and say what you think. I also think that they should make an ad about why you should go through the trouble of actually downloading and installing this thing, when it could possibly just be an account-stealer that sells accounts to make money. I don't really see any benefits of this browser apart from on-the-fly facebook and twitter checks when you can just open a new tab and check them anyway.

I think I'll stick with the Firefox 13 beta

I checked it out because at first I figured it had to be some tiny branch of some company like zinga. Still not convinced that it's not, but it appears to be a genuine company... gross indeed.

I used it for a while. It's good if you use facebook chat a lot. (I do) You can have the facebook tab closed and still talk to people whilst browsing, I don't see why that's gross.

Gross ????? Is the forum suddenly being over run by 9-year old girls ?

There are two kinds of computer users. Those that use Macs and those that wish they did.

Icky. It makes me want to punch a puppy in the face.

You can also just get the facebook IM called ChitChat. It's probably got an always on top function. Also, if the facebook chat takes up part of the browser, you could just have two browsers open and positioned appropriately on your screen couldn't you? I don't know. I don't really use facebook.

I like chrome. I personally don't use them, but it's got lots of extensions for facebook.
