the world editor i was going to make.

now that i finished my most recent project for my computer science AP class, i can now get going on DB for a few weeks, then back to java for 2 weeks but anyways. me and my friends here in the "real world" are going to try and tackle that. so i want you people to post suggestions for what i could do. you can suggest anything! (what it can do, how it does things, what it looks like, etc) having you suggest it, doesnt mean its going to happen tho but i want suggestions anyways.

Mouse control of objects, ie, you click and drag objects to move them and to place them on the screen etc...

yeah, i was going to plan on doing drag and drop for everything.

i changed because i was getting sick of SPAM, did you like spam better, or little bessy?

heres what i was thinking just recently, tell me what you think:
at the main menu you choose from new world,load world,new object, load object. and for the object it takes you 2 a new screen and you can import a model to use. then you have a little area where you can add code to code what the model does, and all that stuff.

quick question:
lets say i make the typing box, or whatever you call them, for the object's code. how would i make it so the program recognises that as db code and executes it as such? is that even possible.

another thing i have been thinking about doing:
have the program dish out the DB code for your world. so when you finish the code, it gives you the code you would use in DB if you get what i mean. is that possible? see, that way, when you finish the 'world', it gives you the code and you just copy, paste, and walah!

For that, that's basically what all the other world editors out there do... lol...

But for the other questions, i don't have the faintest...

Oh, and i liked Spam better, IMHO.

you should make it to where you can creat the matrix in the WE (World Editor) and texture it ect...then do what you want and then have it build a .dba code of it so that way you can import the code into your game as easy as copy and paste once the .dba is made...and make it support BIG FAT MATRIXES!!! you know like huge ones! gigantic ones you'd make for like RPG's and small towns and stuff!!
