Geek Culture / Linux installer gives me choice on its installation size?

It gives me a choice of the installation side from 5GB to 30GB its preset to 18GB should I change this? I'm a new user to linux...

Ok sorry for double post... I installed kubuntu but when launched from my menu it does the loading thing then gives me a screen with a whole bunch of lines... Kind of like the screen when your overclocking and your computer crashes that type of screen but it just sits there...

Welcome to the Linux club. Did you use the Windows installer or not? Is there any text whatsoever?

What are the last few lines on the bottom?

Giving up? Try just plain old ubuntu.

Ok so I got plain old ubuntu running cinnamon 1.3 using it right now and loving it ubuntu is simple and fast.

Ubuntu is my favorite Linux distro, although since the switch to Unity I've been wanting to try Linux Mint since it goes back to the old standard of taskbar + "start" menu. I find Ubuntu is much better than Kubuntu, though, because KDE is quite resource-intensive and sometimes very confusing navigationally ( <- Is that not a word? I got the red underline. ).
