Hey guys.

I thought that it would be big fun to host AppGameKit coding competition. It could be making a game within three/two days.

Though, myself I cannot host it, because I cannot afford the awards, nor can I give any badges , but maybe we could come up with something exciting enough?
Or TGC could give vouchers as rewards. Such competitions bring users. (Most of the time. If the award is worth it.)

But yet, what do you guys think about making AppGameKit coding competitions once a time or regularly every month (much like 3d thread does)?

Also, it would be nice to know if anybody is interested at all

I think that's a great idea. I'd be happy to help organise the first one and see where it goes from there?

If everyone's ok with that I can contact TGC and see how generous they're feeling on the prize front?

I can't guarantee every month but regularly I'm sure I could organise something...

I guess that if TGC wouldn't be willing to finance prizes (vouchers!), we could probably collect money from volunteers. I myself could donate to the prize. (Though not much, but always something )

I believe that something like AppGameKit Coder badges (bronze, silver, gold) just as it is with 3d badges (best texture, model and overall), would be even more nifty, and wouldn't require to spend money on such events.

And yeah... external media plz.

That was great in DarkGDK, but the whole beauty of that was just code - no media, if you needed sprite - you were creating it in code, plus that way it was 100% portable, no attachments to download. And without media the full focus was on ideas and code!

We have confirmation of some TGC support for this.

When I hear back from kamac I will allow him to announce the details since this is his baby

Watch this space...

(yes media will be allowed!)

EDIT: Media will not be judged!!!
