Hey all! I recently graduated from high school, and I'm looking at colleges. More importantly a programming college. Something with a course with something like game programming or just programming in general, I was going to take University of Phoenixs' Software Engineering course, but after I read a lot of bad reviews about them I'm second guessing myself. I live in Missouri, and was wondering if you guys knew of any mid western colleges or online colleges that could fit what I'm looking for, thanks!

Erm, I'm not sure if there's a campus in your area, but there's Full Sail University. They specialize in things like that. You can find if there is one nearby, or within range, at least. I've heard some very good things about them!

I would go with programming in general, go for a Computer Science degree. From reading various job applications at companies like Blizzard and Bethesda, it seems that a CS degree is a requirement. It looks like they want to see that you are qualified to program in general, then see if you are qualified to program a game from your own projects and your portfolio. I can't recommend a specific college but check out http://www.collegeboard.org/, that'll give you better info than anyone here can.
