How many of you out there would consider yourselves to be Renaissance Men (or Women) to some degree? What drives you to be polymaths? What all have you studied (not necessarily in the \"I have went to classes\" sense; and not just watched on a TV show) and what are your top 4 or 5 favorites?
As for myself. I\'m curious about almost everything from cooking to quantum physics. If you\'ve seen the movie \"Short Circuit\" you may remember Johnny 5 \"needing more input\"...that\'s definitely me.
A listing of things I have studied at one time or another:
Astronomy
Physics
Electrical engineering
Programming (many flavors of ASM and BASIC)
Economics
History (mostly US)
Law (Common Law, US Constitution\\drafting documents, US Code, Maritime Law, \"Viking\" law)
Aero/astronautics
Gardening
Farming/Ranching
Creative writing
Survival
3D design/AutoCAD
Structural engineering
Mining/drilling & leeching/smelting/refining
Chemistry/solid-state chemistry
RF
And I could go on and on but won\'t
I\'d have to say my favorites are, in no particular order: EE, programming, astronomy, economics, and history.
