Sorry, not to bug or anything. I was just wondering when i could expect a new AppGameKit installer , to fix the serial codes issues and etc for virgin installs.I believe i read "Thursday" but , i didn't see any updated files in my products tab.
The only way i can get into the IDE is through the codeblocks.exe (My Computer seems to have a problem with the regular AGK.exe) , then the AppGameKit compiler location wont auto-detect so i have to track it down every time I start AGK.

Thanks,

Programming and video games, what else could you need?

Maybe you can try to download agk legacy 1065. And once it is installed. Download the 1.73 zip file and replace all the agk files with the zip files. That should work.

SimpleProgram (cool handle), if you do not have any of the old versions available to download, there is a solution.

Use the 1074 installer and don't let it start the IDE when done.

Then, find userdetails.ini file under AGK\IDE\Editor.

Edit it with any plain text editor and set the SERIALCODE to the one listed on the serial codes page reached from Your Products.

Save the file.

Then click on the desktop link for AppGameKit and you are in business.

LeeBamber, a TGC developer, provided this solution.

A new 1074 installer has been uploaded, so if anyone wants to do a fresh install and let me know if it works for you, then I can tick it off my mental check list

I drink tea, and in my spare time I write software.

It's not showing up in the 'My Products' page, yet.

When it does, I'll try a fresh install.

I just reverted the virtualized windows box that I had tested the install on. I love having a virtualization platform. It lets you do clean tests and check strange web links without impacting the 'real' environment.

Hi Lee,

I successfully installed AppGameKit using the new installer on my virgin netbook. I'm running Windows 7, 32-bit and even have UAC on! So it's working perfectly on this end.

Ok, I was able to install and start up the IDE without error.

But, where/when would the serial code be entered or relevant when compiling?

In theory, the current installer would work for anyone who hadn't purchased AGK.

I'm not trying to be picky, I'm just trying to help get it right for everyone (Users and AGK).

Cheers,
