Not epic.
No ninjas, no spaceships, no lazers, no villain personal army\'s hideout. Cheap. Boring. Generic.

No Bond Girl.

P.S. this year only Expendables 2 are true epic.

I didn't agree with anything you said except this. (And some other parts to a degree.) Personally? I'm looking forward to seeing Chuck Norris, Arnold Schwarzenegger (i.e., the former Governator), and Bruce Willis.

But I'm not down-playing a Bond movie. I like the films I've seen. I'm not a "true fan" though. I haven't seen all of them. I don't remember most of the plots of gadgets. I just liked the old and new films I saw. That's all.

tbh, I'm looking forward to The Texas Chainsaw Massacre 3D, and Halloween 3D. (The latter might not ever be released, but damnit I hope it is!)

EDIT: And not because they're "3D." I hate 3D. I'll watch them on DVD or a theater not doing the 3D crap. 3D never works (for me?). You either have those crappy red/blue filters that just tint the movie, or those expensive glasses (or more expensive tickets) for an experience that's incredibly annoying. (Not exciting. Not scary. Not thrilling. Just annoying.) /rant

Cheers,
Aaron

I saw all bond films for many times, I am a fan. Sean and Pierce are true Bonds. I don't like new films. At all.

I don't know, looks pretty good to me. Mind you the cheesey, over-the-top Bond films are bit before my time so I'm more of a fan of these grittier, more realistic Bonds. And Q looks cool, glad they've brought him in.

Who is the woman who shoots him off the train then? Looks like she's this film's Bond girl.

Nah, just generic female placeholder. Good old times.

@Aaron Miller
Prometheus was good enough in 3D, despite the film is for fans only.

I don't think it looks so bad... I hated it when they first ran out of Flemming stories and they turned into a bad checklist of snow scene, underwater scene, Bond escapes a poorly designed execition scene, Bond goes rogue scene, product placement, more product placement. I'm also happy to see them ditch the P99 and go back to a PPK style sidearm.

Well I'm glad you know so much detail about it without having seen the film yet.

It's not BAD, it's just another generic movie with explosions.

I saw many female characters in action movies last years.

Batman is the film I am waiting for. Bond has turned into Bourne. Quantum Of Solace is the only Bond film I have never bothered to watch, even though I recorded it for free off the TV. This trailer does look like a step in the right direction though.

Don't like The Expendables. I can't tell what any of them are saying. It's like Heeeellllooogggg, grunt! geeet meeeyaaaaguun.

Expendables was still enjoyable to watch, as generic of an action film it was. The cast was the only reason anybody saw that movie at all.

This new Bond movie hasn't exactly "wow'd" me, but I'll give it a shot.

I think 3D is good if done well, but can really suck if not. For example, the post-process 3d effect in one of the harry potter films was utterly pointless.

IMO the best way to see 3D is with circular polarised glasses - no colour distortion, works even if you tilt your head and polarising filters aren't even that expensive. You don't even need a special projector, a couple of normal projectors will do.

I thought the first "new" bond film Casino Royale was great - everything from the plot to the action, humour and visuals. Quantum of Solace was quite disappointing though, it had plenty of action but missed out on plot and the humour. I think it was deliberately made to be more gritty and dark so that the following film could wow everybody, or at least that's what I hope

Kudos on feeding the troll

This film looks brilliant. I'm an old school bond fan but the Daniel Craig reboot is bloody fantastic.

It's certainly not going to be as epic as the insanely incredibly ridiculously super deluxe Expendables 2... But it definitely looks amazing to me. I love just about every Bond film ever made.

Looks great, or at the very least an excuse to go to the cinema...last film I saw was 'Seeking a friend for the end of the world', which my friend INSISTED was not a chick-flick...it was.
So yeah, I'm making the decisions from now on! Not sure myself why people are so hyped for the Expendables 2? The first was an incredibly generic, disjointed and boring film. Perhaps the worst action film I've ever seen.
