Two Gold Medals in two strenuous events. What an all-around athlete. I was wondering what was happening at first in the 800 when she fell behind to 3rd. Boy, did she ever take off then.

Really? Which Olympics were you watching? I only saw her win one gold in one event - the heptathlon.

If we keep this up we as British might be considered decent at sport (hehe, I said it as if 'we' have anything to do with individual athletes competing other than sharing the same country of origin).

Funny, I've never heard any commentator call them disciplines, I've only ever heard them called events...

Nope, watching the same Olympics as everyone else, and far more likely to believe/take seriously, BBC commentators who've been doing their jobs for a long time and therefore know what they're talking about, rather than some random bloke from Leeds...
