Hello all! Some of you have maybe seen my posts on Facebook, but I'll do the same now here...

As mentioned in the subject I'm having a poll about what kind of games people like to play. The poll can be found here: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/viewform?pli=1&formkey=dFRwdkxVN0JfQ04yR0JRNUpla215Ync6MQ#gid=0

Any personal data isn't collected as I don't ask your real or profile names. The poll has just three questions and they are purely for my interest to know what people plays and on what platforms. I hope this poll will help me on near future game development.

And I apologize to Moderators for this message. I didn't know for sure under what section to put this.

Thanks in advance for all those who are joining this poll! =)

Nothing wrong with a poll, but I think you should share your results as it could be great for the community.

Interesting about price. I think charging a dollar is a terrible mistake for some games. For example, something like an original take on a classic game (organ trail?) I would pay at least 10 bucks, maybe more.

Then there's something like angry birds where I wouldn't pay anything for it.

There's arcade pinball which charges a fortune and is on my to buy when I got some extra cash list

Really if you have a good concept, a good game, you can and should charge a lot!

Hi Quik! Thanks for notice, I will add the Strategy games option as soon as I'm back on PC (on mobile now...). That was a good point.

Submitted my answers dude. hope that helps. Take it you're planning on working on a game in AppGameKit?

I would have answered 'RPG' for question 1, I assume you've posted options of stuff you'd be willing to do?

[edit]
I didn't tick the last one for price, but I have paid $10+ before on a mobile device for a game, but it's rare and it'd have to be something substantial.

Maximum I would pay for mobile games are around 1-5$ (1-3 being most common) since I don't play "serious" games on my phone. AND since my brother has a 3D thingy built into his phone, which makes all games in 3d - without the need of glasses. At any rate, those games cost about 5$.

@Seppuku Arts: Well, I haven't posted anywhere about what kind of game(s) I'm up to, but I have couple of ideas on my mind. They're going to be quite simple 2D games at first since I don't have that much experience on game programming, just general Java and C++ application programming..

As soon as I've received a satisfying number of replies, how would you guys like to get the information out? Just a bunch of numbers shown here or cool diagrams? Any suggestions will be considered

Hi there!

My poll is now updated with Strategy games and Role playing games categories and with the 'Else' option if you have some other category in mind.

So, if you have already answered, please, update your answer if you didn't get a chance to give your answer to those two. To new participators, go to give your answer now The link is posted earlier on this page.
