Hi All,

I'm sure this has been discussed, but I'm searched the forum and there are far too many answers to comprehend, so here goes...

I've got vue d'esprit V4, which can export objects as 3ds, so my objects can be imported into DBP.

However, what I can't 'grasp' (I'm using a trial of DBP, so it's not documented), is are the properties (limps, materials, textures, colours, specular highlights, etc) brought in with the 3ds code.

Likewise, I've read that .x is a better format because it's better. Is there a good 3ds to .x converter, and likewise, does .x support the object properties.

Finally, one other quick question, what on earth is A* that I've seen floating about in the forums.

TIA

the .3ds file cant hold animations. i fear someone else will have to help you with the commands. darkbasic classic comes with a .3ds to .x converter. A* is a type of artificial intelligence.
