hey guys, as you know, most of my projects are breathtaking or in the other words, looking good!
just like my AdvUpdater or even the Goga's String Plugin i made few weeks ago wich also looking good (as a plugin)

this time im thinking of another project to make. i cant tell you what exactly i want to make cuz its gonna be a surprising secret!
but in the bottom line, the tool im making, i want it to be completely 3D. wich means i have to design a 3D Menu for that.
but for that i would need to look on examples of existing 3d menus to do so.
thats why im looking for 3d menu examples.

any ideas where i can find any? or please show me. i would appreciate it a lot.

Thanks.

You could look at Codemasters Dirt series of rally games. They always have 3D menus, but quite stylish - well presented, viceral, and done with fairly straightforward media, like 3D text and stacking boxes etc...

That one is older, and seems to be mostly made from plains.

Another one of (I think) the same version, but this one shows the 3D text they often use.

Looks neat - couldn't check it out because my work PC can't really handle much, so I'll have a proper look when I get home.

That's pretty neat. Now if I getting this right, you want to make this sort of thing in DBP?

Sergey, no offense, but you spend all your time making these plugins for other people to use (which is always good, Im sure there are people that find them useful). But why don't you actually put some of your plugins to use and make an actual program? It seems like everyone falls into this hole in the TGC community where they give up making their own product, and just start putting out helper tools for other people to make products. I don't think I can count how many 3D level editors, GUI plugins, and animation viewers people have made this year alone.

I personally don't use DBP anymore, but I'm sure people would find a plugin like this useful as long as it allows them enough room to customize the way the menus are handled and designed. Goodluck either way.

I dont know I guess I just think you could be putting your experience and time to better use for your personal career instead of helping others further theirs. I understand the joy and accomplishment that comes from making something that people use to develop their own products, I went through the same thing, but there comes a time when you put your experience to use and make something that you can make a living off of instead of free plugins for other people to use.

By all means, continue what you're doing, its none of my business, I was just sharing my two cents.

well 1st of all i have a complete carer where i earn quite good ammount of money, and its not programming

the thing what i do over here is just a bonus

and about the the business, i got my AdvUpdater here. its pretty neat program for ppl to use. im working on completing it, and soon as its gonna be finished, i gonna sell online storage just like every other cloud program does.

besides, it could be good for me to team up with someone who got same experiance like me, and got same aspiration.
too bad i cant build an a website, cuz this can solve me lots of problems >_<

@Van B:
i dont know if you noticed, but ALL of my projects are stand-alone plugins and exes. you can run it on any PC you want, even on MacOS.
not sure how heavy the program is, but it doesnt uses any frameworks or activeX at all.
so the point is that you can run it no metter how crappy your computer is.
