Hello!

I am proud to present the debut trailer for my 2D space shooter called Vantelegary Rising!

Please take into consideration that the screenshots and video are a little older and many improvements have been done to the game since then.

Plot: You where chosen to pilot the Vantelegary, a spacecraft armed with a singularity bomb, and take revenge on the entity, seemingly located at the center of our galaxy, that destroyed mankind's hopes and dreams.

Info: The game has been in development for about 18 months. Music provided by Kevin MacLeod. The release date is probably somewhere in early 2013.

I'm impressed. Really impressed. The footage I saw was awesome! All of the graphics look great, effects look fantastic and it all slots nicely together with sounds.

What did you use to make this? DarkBASIC?

The only thing I find a bit negative is the amount of action on the screen. How do you distinguish enemy bullets from power ups and such? That's still a bit confusing.

Hope to see more!

Thank you for the feedback! I really appreciate it!

Well the more you play the more stuff becomes clear, and the confusion will be reduced significantly once you start playing hands-on. As tends to happen in any game.

There will be more updates, and a new trailer soon.

I just edited my post as the links where not...well... links, they where just text, it should show up soon.

Thank you!

The engine I used to create this is not something I can share yet. (due to promoting reasons)... If this is a forum for a specific engine only (everyone keeps asking about DarkBASIC... that tipped me off) and I posted in the wrong place I apologize, Google sent me here after googleing "indie game forums".

If I am breaking rules please remove my thread and sorry for the inconvenience, I haven't slept in 48 hours when I posted...!

Don't take it harshly, we all love your game and would like to see more.

The thing is that the WIP board is only for games made with software provided by TheGameCreators. It is however allowed to be posted on our off topic board. Just contact a mod and ask him to move your thread there, then everything will be fine.

I'm new here and I don't know any moderators... if one stumbles upon this thread I will much appreciate it if he/she would move it to the off-topic section!

I don't think there is any restrictions on what engines you can post about here. We talk about other engines like the cry engine some times. There is also a section of the forums for other languages and therefore engines, but the this should be a fine place to put your post.

As long as you are not advertising it, I think you can tell us what engine you used...

The issue about the engine was because this was originally in the WIP board(which has an unwritten requirement that the games must use a TGC product in some way).
