I can't believe I've never seen a thread on these videos... But who here watches the Epic Rap Battles of History? Hands down my favorite series of videos off of youtube ever. Extremely clever dialogue in almost every single one.

My personal favorite being Abe Lincoln vs Chuck Norris

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zj2Zf9tlg2Y

I'm too stupid to figure out how and embed the video here, even when people tell me step by step how to do it. So a mod can edit that and embed it if they want.

The new Obama vs Romney one was quite genius as well, especially with the guest appearance of a past president.

I may die if people don't find these absolutely hilarious.

Words cannot describe my Greatness... But I'll give it a shot.

I am awesome....... Yeah, that works.

I see them popping up all across the web every now and then, and I've watched a good majority of them. I gotta say, I'm not very impressed. They're entertaining, but it's just not my cup of tea, I suppose. It's sort of a mainstream thing around my area and almost everyone finds them hilarious, though they're not really anything spectacular in my eyes. It's kind of gotten old, I suppose, heh. They're sort of cheesy, though it feels like they're trying their best to be serious.

No disrespect or anything though, I could understand why people would find them funny.

I like them, but I don't like that so much "common" conversation revolves around imitating them. I think they're quite talented, and they clearly understand a lot of the characters they're portraying. It's not exactly war & peace but it's a good laugh.

I've seen all of them... Love them all. My favorite has to be Master Cheif and the guy from 300 though

Cheers,

Yep, I've been watching them pretty much ever since they began. I watched so much of them that I know the all the lyrics to some of the battles My favourite one is Barack Obama vs Mitt Romney or Steve Jobs vs. Bill Gates.

Oh come on. We're trying to talk with sigs here and you rudely interrupt.

I've seen 'em. I like 'em.

Some of them are kind of weak though. For example, the Abe Lincoln versus Chuck Norris one didn't really do justice to either of them. I did like the Romney versus Obama one though. Mr T versus Mr Rogers was hilarious, IMO.

I showed those videos to my niece and she loves them. I think the "beats" are well done but I'm not a "rap expert" so maybe they're horrible to connoisseurs of the genre, but they're funny nonetheless.

Personally, I don't listen to rap, hip-hop, or any of those genres. They're not very appealing to me. These videos are the exception though.

I thought the Steve Jobs versus Bill Gates one was kind of cheesy but I was somewhat impressed with the amount of knowledge they had on the matter. I didn't check to see whether they knew any of that beforehand, they did research, or just used someone else to fill them in on subjects.

Gregory House versus Sherlock Holmes.
Clint Eastwood versus John Wayne.
Batman versus Superman.
John Carmack versus Notch.

(Granted with Carmack versus Notch the winner would be Carmack if the subject were programming. So the subject would be games with Carmack representing id Software and Notch representing Mojang, obviously.)

That's funny because it's hands down my favorite one lol! But anything Chuck Norris is simply outrageously hilarious to me.

I have a passionate hatred of rap or hip-hop so I guess it's odd I even love these to begin with. I just think the lyrics behind them are pure genius.

Everyone has different taste! No offense taken of course. I know quite a few people that I showed these videos were just like absolutely dumb founded at the stupidity of the videos lol.

That is one I absolutely cannot believe they haven't done yet! I've always wanted a battle between those two, it'd be perfect.
