I have always been impressed by those who can produce something awesome using the bare minimum of resources and who don't whine about things not working as they expect or rise above their own misfortune. They just use what they got....sheer talent....and simply get on with it.

These guy's just blow me away.

This guy has a particular kind of talent.

I know there are many, many more of these kind of talents out there and these are just a few of my favourites. Some might be confused as to the mix of able bodied/disabled here but I am not trying to get a message across, its not only about ability in this way.
I just find them so inspirational and reckon you guy's got your own too, maybe you even know someone like this

That first guy must have crazy dexterity in his shoulder.

And that last guy had great stage presence. And a heck of a lot more positive than I'd probably be.

Actually I got one. Just last weekend I went to watch the Michael Jackson The Immortal show (best show ever btw) and there was this one dancer who had only one leg. Here's a video:

That videos is actually of him in the Ellen show, but it's still good.

Yeah he's amazing isn't he? When you think of how he dont have the dexterity of fingers, wrist and forearm he sure makes up for it.

Pure upper body strength and balance, I love how he uses the other dancers as 'props'

I used to do kerb art and have traveled all over Europe doing it. I saw many astounding performers and spoke with quite a few. One guy I met, in Amsterdam, had invented the Gizmo (this was the actual name for it) rotor wheels that buzzed the guitar strings (used by Godley and Creme) he was quite a character, he used to show up and just sit beside me playing songs while I worked. He didn't care about making his own money, just enjoyed the crowd pulling I guess

Awesome, I used to do street performance too. I also met all sorts of amazing artists and thinkers, who would just rock up sit and wait for a break in the music then start a fascinating conversation. There was this one guy that stood out the most for me who used to set himself down in the middle of Bourk street mall with a small amp and a violin string tied to a stick and played it with a bow, the sound was so eerie and entrancing it actually calmed the melbourne cbd and kinda stunned all the pedestrians.
Kinda hard to describe and explain, but Ive never seen or heard anything like it before him or since.

Thats awesome Kezzla, great to see another around here thats done this kind of thing, you cant explain what its like to put yourself out there in public, folks aren't there to see you and you rely entirely on your own to please em so you make good cash and dont get picked on.

It was for me a real eye opener, you meet all sorts of folks and actually restored my faith in humanity, though there are some nutters out there, my problem was I couldn't walk away from it if it got too hairy and had to rely on my wits a lot of the time.

Here's one of mine showing just how busy it can get around you, had a store in London get the cops to move me on cos the crowd were blocking the entrance (they apologized saying they really didn't want to), pity, I was making a lot of money and only got an hour work in, would usually do a 3-4 hour shift on these.

Once I earned enough I would move on to the next city.

What kind of performance were you doing?

wow! Brilliant work rolfy! you would be right at home on Southbank Melbourne.

I have no audio or footage of me busking, however one funny image with an anecdote...

In this picture I was busking in St Kilda, Melbourne. On that particular day I had decided to brush up and dress nicely as the day before I had been given grief by people who thought I was a bum (I had a job, I just wore old cloths and didn't care much for hair brushing.)

so looking all fancy and square I was busking away and going pretty well. A guy walked by and threw coins in my case and asked if I knew any Midnight oil. I said "nah, not really" as I looked up to see peter garret standing there. "you should learn some, Its pretty good music." and he was off on his way.

A little while later, I attracted the pimp fellow you can see in the above picture. He was so drunk and sleazy that people actually changed side of the street to avoid him and by proximity, me.

I had had enough and was about to pack up when I saw across the street one of my friends laughing and pointing, he walked up with a camera pretending to be a stranger and asked if he could take my picture. "sure mate, I said" restraining myself from laughing.
click: super square Kezzla and his pimpin buddy out on the town in merry st Kilda.

I have many fond memories of that time of my life. Fun days.
Thankyou for reminding me.

LOL, ya gotta laugh sometimes...I too have great memories of the day's I did my thing.

I could make more with a day on the street than most could earn in a week doing a 'real' job. I only had to work a couple of days a week at most, this was fortunate as the skin would be off my hands and my legs would ache with all the squatting. It was really hard work.

A nice side effect from all this is I now have buns of steel

Thanks for showing us that picture
