Basically people take an engine to produce amazing bit's of artwork. Some games are still playable and some aren't but what they produce is incredible.

And recently this one I got to see. The most amazing Skyrim graphical modding of all time by Unreal. Feast your eyes on something spectacular:

Just imagine if this was playable (is without grass apparently).

If you have seen any or would like to discuss creating art out of games via modding please share your thought.

I believe the above images were the result of over 100 mods being run simultaneously - pretty impressive!

Is that Dbpro?

Beautiful. I love when people do things like this. It's so crazy how far graphics have come. This website, http://deadendthrills.com/ is great especially. The guy here tries to render games as art... and I'd say he succeeds! What's great is how many games are on there. He has a series on Skyrim with some-200 images. Some of my favorites, from skyrim but also a few other games. It's useless trying to choose, just go to the website!

I really wish I wasn't!

I've seen that video too, it's great. one of the reasons I love PC gaming is the things that people manage to do with games.

The screenies and videos look amazing, but I find after a few minutes of looking at them it becomes 'the norm'. I would imagine playing games with this detail would be noticeably awesome for about 10 minutes, then apart from occasional wow moments when you look out onto a new type of scene, it'd be back to the gameplay.

Basically I'm saying it looks really awesome but good game mechanics will always be far more important to me, and usually they don't come in the same package.
