hey guys!
as most of you know, im been in tgc about 6 years. or even more?
was doing games, programs, tools and plugins..

my last tool that im proud of, is my AdvUpdater [http://forum.thegamecreators.com/?m=forum_view&t=201709&b=5]
and i want to keep the developing rate and make more usefull tools, hopefully to get money on it of course!

im planning to create one more tool that might be helpfull for every developer..

for example my current idea is creating some kind of program that you can submit your own media into it (models, textures even code snippets) with some kind of chat system inside.
so anyone can get into the program and search for whatever he wants! download right into the pc.
and maybe in future to expand it even more!

hopefully ill get an interest of some of you..

so im not looking for too many helpers, just a good one that has some free time..
i need a person who got good understanding on 3d, tcp protocols, C++ or delphi or anything else that can help with that project..

i could write my skype name here, but then there is a possability for more than 1 try to contact me..

so after you folks understood more or less what exactly im planning to do,
tell me please what part exactly you can help me with (and your skype name, hopefully you have one). all of those features i wrote earlier i can do on my own, but i would like to take off some stress from me and decrease the developing time with 1 more person.

hopefully i didnt messed up with some team request rules. if so, fix me
but dont lock~

I'm not exactly sure what your idea is but at the moment I don't really want to leave TGC behind just yet and I cannot come up with any other ideas for a tool or plugin to work on for the community so, yeah, I'd be up for something like that. Dunno if you can access my email from here, if not I'll let you know...

My projects in the past have been: 3D scene editor, noise plugins, rar and zip plugins, procedural content generation, MySQL plugin and prob more I can't quite remember at the mo...

Hopefully hear from you soon Sergey K

Sergey K, look into Parse for storing / transfering the data and creating a user system:

http://www.parse.com

Cross platform, Im using it for my current iPad app at the moment for storing and downloading 3D model and texture content into my app dynamically.

Why not make it web-based? You want a searchable database of user-submitted media. Sounds like one of a million other websites already in existence. Unless I'm missing something else?

My TCP experience has been in Java, but I've written chat programs before which talk over AOL's protocol. Ported it to C# also.

No, web based is better. People don't want millions of executables on their computer, they want a bookmark.

actually im from the side who likes more executables than web based programs..

wich one is easyer to handle;
DBP IDE? (app)
Freedom Engine IDE? (web)

perfect example

Hardly a fair comparison. More like comparing Amazon to a desktop equivalent. (Catalogue of models)
