(Assuming you have never coded)

Wait about a year until you learn how to properly code, and properly ask questions, then try

"How would I go about making an RPG like Final Fantasy?"

If you want people to help you make an RPG you need to be more specific with your questions. As a general rule most people wont help you unless you've shown that you're trying to help yourself.

Here are some tips to asking good questions:

1. Never ask "how do I make a game like _____________?". People wont take you seriously and will assume you're lazy.

2. Always read the forum before posting your question. Someone may have already asked the same question and recieved a good answer.

3. Be specific. Instead of asking how to make a game, ask how to make a title screen, a main menu, how to make the character move, etc. and show that you've tried to do it on your own.

4. It's always best to try something on your own, before coming to the forum and asking. If you show someone code you made yourself it shows your trying and that you have a certian amount of knowledge. People will help you correct your code, they wont write it for you in the first place.

5. Be specific about what you want. Is it a 3d RPG (FFVII,VIII,X) or is it a 2d RPG (FFI, FFII)? Is the fighting real time (Kingdom Hearts) or is it turn based (FFI)?

These are only a few things to consider when posting. If you read the Forum rules posted in the "newcomers corner" you can learn a lot there. If I'm not mistaken there are links to several tutorials there as well. Good luck on your RPG like Final Fantasy

Maybe I'll be able to help you more in the future (if you ask the right questions).

I've got DBClassic and Photoshop Skillz and I'm not afraid to use um!
