3 Dimensional Chat / the best way to handle animations

what is the best way to handle animations like it's plays the standing animation and then it plays the runing one?
should i use a seprated model files?
i have bones and deformations.

No you use diferent frames of one animation. Say...1-10 idle, 10-50 walk, 50-100 run ect.
