Wow a year already since my last Thread on this topic, well here is this years as usual

And in a timely fashion, 00:03 in respect of 2013

As before, my most memorable 7 New Year’s Resolutions, in no particular order...

- Publish more Apps...
- Create more user oriented content to help others learn new skills...
- Compete in more competitions...
- Develop my skills further...
- Make at least 1 Market [As in Android Play Market, Steam, Apple Store, MS Store etc...] published Application...
- Become a good Cook / Baker again...
- Succeed in Inspiring others...

So bring on your Resolutions [Not your Screen Sizes lol] and again you can list any number of Resolutions, it does not have to be 7 like mine...

I have more but these are what come to mind for now as I might rejig it soon as your allowed 7 days into the year to clarify and revise your resolutions [my rules]

[ Can we manage another Sub-Topic this year too? ]

1920*1080 Well technicaly it's 1920*1080 + 1280*1024. Oh right...

I usualy don't do new years resolutions. I prefer to reach as far as possible . But I would love to win some competitions this year. And perhaps start to make some money from programming.

I guess mine is a lot like yours, to work harder and get things done. Hopefully gonna get a short film I've been working on out, along with the first episode in a series I'm writing. Maybe I'll even write a song or two, who knows!

Happy new year!

2.13 days in 7 years doesn't seem like an awful lot.

Years ago I resolved to not make any more resolutions. So far, it's working pretty good.

My resolution is to get stuff done! I'm not alone on here in over-thinking things, sometimes we all need to stop thinking and start doing! I think this is why a lot of us procrastinate, because we're too aware of the scale of what we want to achieve and get demotivated, so I'm going to try to just get on with it and not worry about the big picture. I've already sold my soul to the nagacremo so that should be fun and a good test to start the year off.

Shh... you're pretty.

My new years resolution is to stop making other people's problems my own. Honestly, I have enough problems for one person, and I'll be able to better help others in the future.

...besides, they don't REALLY need my help at the homeless shelter.

(ba-dum tiss)

But yeah, no new years resolution for me, things are going uphill though. Still in community college, and might have to do another year (BLEARGHGH) but at least I'm studying interesting stuff on my free time, and I might be getting an internship soon.

2) Eat more healthily - cut out the rubbish
3) Return to Karate and kick some butt...work towards my black for next year's grading
4) Get a job in journalism
5) Build my kickass gaming PC, at long last
6) Complete a project, maybe Abeyance.
7) Finish my novel
8) Visit friends up North more often, I barely visited them 2012
9) Drink more. I've been pretty teetotal in 2012.

Mine are of a more abstract nature. By and large, I've failed at all my resolutions, because by default I don't have the self-control needed to achieve them, so this year I'm going to master that self-control and hopefully use that as a tool to master next year's more tangible and down-to-Earth resolutions!

Daily exercise
Daily meditation
Daily reading
Daily creative output, whether programming, writing music, or anything else I happen to feel like doing. As long as it's something.
Maybe a daily journal too.

I dishonour my master and then disembowel myself in shame? Yes, that sounds about right, it took a while to get the intestines back in after my last grading.

I forget how gruesome my username is. I was actually forced to change my username on another forum because it might be deemed offensive.

With nice weather I hope? I mean, it might be a bit cold if it's a remote island near Svalbard.

Would be nice though, programming on the beach and sipping on cocktails.

Sorry to bump this, but wanted to see if anybody has made headway on their resolutions?

In my case at the moment... Bold items indicate I have made some progress already

Okay.

1) Go back to the gym.
2) Eat more healthily - cut out the rubbish
3) Return to Karate and kick some butt...work towards my black for next year's grading
4) Get a job in journalism
5) Build my kickass gaming PC, at long last

7) Finish my novel
8) Visit friends up North more often, I barely visited them 2012
9) Drink more. I've been pretty teetotal in 2012

2) I've been on a diet for 3 weeks now. I've lost a little bit of weight, could be losing it faster, but it's a start and I'm trying to adjust things to work for me as well and teach myself some good habits. Also, there's more veg in my diet and less crappy foods.

6) Believe it or not I worked on this over the weekend. Making progress, if slowly.

9) I was drunk over a week ago at a staff party, then drank for my mum's birthday the day after. Though, I've still got some of my Christmas booze to finish off...I'll get there eventually. This resolution kind of conflicts with resolution number 2.

16:9? Pfft, 16:10 baby! 1920x1200 and I'll never go smaller (unless my monitor breaks and I'm forced to buy a new one since monitor resolutions continue to go backwards in the past 10 years)

Hehe, I was playing with a new toy on that one. I bought Playmaker over the weekend and it's working out to be pretty handy, though it will not be my primary tool for scripting as it's not as flexible, but combined with Unity's C# scripting it's actually turning out to be very handy.

Talking about monitor resolutions, I was looking at one of these, almost tempted to buy one when I build my new PC:

http://www.lg.com/uk/monitors/lg-29EA93

2560x1080, IPS. Though maybe a lil pricey.

The Zoq2 - That is not bad! well done!

Sepp, yeah I was a tad bit like... oh no he is moving away lol

I think I might full fill most if not all of my new years resolutions by the end of December... I may have a doubt about that Android Play Store one but maybe another will take its place... who knows

I didn't make any New Year's resolutions for myself, life is right where I want it to be and honestly couldn't even think of something I need to fix in my life. However, I promised the girlfriend that I'd teach her how to workout in a gym properly and help her get fit. She's doing decent so far, not pushing herself as hard as she can but she's lost 7 pounds in one month so far and has put on a little muscle too, so she's lost more than 7 pounds of fat. Though I'd say getting in shape is HER resolution lmao. I'm just helping her with it.
I would say getting in shape is mine as well, but it's hard to get any sexier than I already am. Lmao. So it's not really my resolution.

Maybe my resolution could be that I'll actually try in my college classes this semester. Maybe. lol

Words cannot describe my Greatness... But I'll give it a shot.

I am awesome....... Yeah, that works.

RedneckRambo - Good enough

@ Screen Res Debate - I need a new monitor....... but which one and which type... I need to keep graphics colours balanced and accurate to an extent for web design and print... I just have not been in touch with current hardware trends as I was way too busy reading like a mad man into development for the past 8 months now!

What was it?
