I'm making a projectile that is fired by a battleship turret and want to create entrails as it moves through the air. I've considered a particle emitter but I don't know if one can be properly attached to a moving (physics enabled) sprite that's been set into motion.

Does anyone have any suggestions using this concept or any other?

A particle emitter will work fine for this. Just update the position of the emitter to match the projectile

Hmm, probably a good idea to keep the emitter optimised... like fewer particles but larger in size particles... [For Mobile Devices, should keep sync of the positioning speedy]...

Awesome! It worked! The AppGameKit Basic book doesn't list the SetParticlesPosition command so I didn't know that was possible until I checked the online reference for it ... good call!

Get the sprites position by an offset and position the emitter at that point.
