But in doing so, you got the Carrot of Birthday Celebration.

I'd say it's at least an even trade.

I'm sorry for your loss *pats on the back*. I hope you can overcome your grief, I am sure it must be a difficult time for you so I'll try not patronising you.

Speaking of which, my sister is 30 this year, I am sure I'll have fun mocking her.

You have no idea how many times I read that "pants on the back" and thought this is some weird birthday tradition.

Anyways, happy birthday and my condolences on losing your 20s. Have another carrot on me:

Well, I am happy to give pants on the back, but the court won't let me do that anymore.

They come back around 45-50, commonly known as a mid-life crisis

That's sad.... I know have you feel in a way. I'm nearly there myself. Each birthday since about 20 I've got super depressed. Getting older sux. I mean when you're in you 20s you can sorta get away with acting like a teenager but 30 is a real adult Only condolence I can give you is you don't have to change who you are, no matter what society expects

This!

A wonderful example is Greg Benson from mediocre films on YouTube, a guy in his 40s who acts like a teenager, but he obviously doesn't care what people think of him and that seems to be the reason he is such a happy person! We need more people like him! We need people who act in ways that makes them happy, but many people won't do that because they're afraid of what others will think.

But teenagers annoy the crap out of me. Always skating on my sidewalks, walking on my lawn, have long hippy hair cuts...

I'm 29 turning 30 this year. I always get mistaken for being 5 to 7 years younger than I actually am. No problem when I get them from my mom's genes. My dad on the other hand. Looks like Yoda's grandfather. lol XD

Oh well those are the silly teenagers! By being like a teenager, I think we mean to just be more enthusiastic, happy, outgoing, etc in general, akin to the way many teenagers commonly are. So ya, don't skate on peoples' sidewalks and get hippy haircuts, those themselves obviously won't make you happy.

I care about the lawn, but the rest is up to them. Let them have their hair and skateboards. It's just a sidewalk unless they did a poo poo on your lawn then all bets are off.

Dammit man, I only have a month left before it's all pipes and slippers and knowing where this emotie came from :

Scary thought is I think I was 27 when I first got an account here... *Shiver*

Worst thing about getting older so far? My wife getting asked if she was into the "Classics" because of a Metallica T-shirt, and my Niece never having heard (at all) about the film Aliens...

It's the circle of life. I will now go to my deathbed complaining about touchscreen desktop systems being terrible and refusing to use anything made after 2010. Like my father before me etc etc.

Cheers
