OMG!

That is mental...

But might be fun if say, they used the SNES style blocks on the ground instead... making the RFIDs work more interestingly...

Makes me want to go Go-Karting soon now... there is one across town from me! but it is only fun if a bunch of people go together...

imagine if they turn this into a gameshow where we can watch who is the king of the Karts. lol. makes me want to build one. Sadly I don't have time nor money to do one. Top of that I have no clue where to start. lol

That's very cool.

It might be possible to approach this from a different angle as well. By using special glasses/goggles with built in screens it would be possible to project digital items into the real world. You'd just need to keep track of all of the carts positions and synchronize everyone's goggles, after that the sky is the limit.
