Hey all,

I've been building a side project with my uncle and we are a bit stuck. I've done most of the PHP and MySQL work but I'm terrible at design. Right now I'm using the Twitter bootstrap so it doesn't look completely like programmer art, but I don't have an eye for web design. We already have a logo and almost all of the actual content, so we're just looking for static HTML/JS/CSS pages with dummy latin text.

We have a budget of roughly $500 and we're looking for the following:

- Home page that attracts new customers.
- One or two template pages that I can use for the rest of the site.
- One or two versions of the template pages for mobile that I can use for the rest of the site.

And that's it!

I'd love to stay with Twitter bootstrap, but it's completely up to the designer what he/she believes will suit the site best. We're looking for a "Web 2.0" look that would fit right in there with the look of Dropbox or Twitter. The site will incorporate JQuery but I can handle most of that code. I'm not looking for someone to simply slap together a site from a common template out there that I could do for myself.

It should work in all the browsers and should work with various screen sizes for mobile. Don't worry about PHP or anything technical, as I've already got all that stuff sorted (I'm already a senior web developer for my job).

Does anyone know the best way to get this done? Are there sites like rentacoder.com but for web designers? Is $500 too much or too little for something like this? I can't go into too much detail about what the site is about, but I'm in dire need of finding someone out there that can help.

There's a site I'd suggest but I can't recall the name right now.

Also, if I saw the logo and you gave me a color scheme you wanted and how much data/info is on the site, I could put something together. If you liked it, just pay me whatever is fair. If not, I'll just throw it into my portfolio.

Here's the site I was thinking of:

I just want to say... $500 should be plenty for any designer who is looking to add to their portfolio... I used to do Sites for Friends for a measely £100 + £20 for a business card design... that was back in 2007... just multiply by 0.65 for $ value I think...

So going by your choice of sites mentioning Dropbox means you are looking for a minimal design...

Hope you get something nice... Let us see it when it is done... I would take up the challenge but I am already doing a site for a photographer as a favour... Should take me a week... just a WordPress template...

Good Luck!
