Hey guys! Hope you all had a wonderful monday

I'm sure this came up before and there is probably some good reason why we don't have an asset store on this website.

I mean, it seems like a good financial idea and there are a lot of skilled artists active on this form. I'm talking of course about 3D models etc.
We have the FPSCreator Modelpack collection but these are always optimised and made for FPSC / Shooter videogames. Why don't we have a Modelpack store outside of FPSCreator?
For example: RPG/MMORPG's are popular projects among members and I have seen a couple topdown and rts projects pop up too. Wouldn't it be a good financial ideas to allow artists to sell media through the site like the fpscreator modelpacks?

To clarify: Cars and trackobjects for racing games, lowpoly knights and horseys for topdown rts, items and lowpoly buildings for Mmorpgs, spaceships for spaceshipgames, buildings for "anno" type games etc. aren't exactly things we will see getting published for fpscreator. A lot of these genres however are more suitable for lone dbpro developers than FPS games.

I know there is darkmatter, but these are only a few packs. The store is heavily FPSCreator based too.

I don't think I am the first guy to come up with this idea and there is most likely some reason as to why TGC does not sell modelbundles like this but I'd like to hear from you guys anyway

Isn't that what this is for? :
Game Creator Store

A while back Rick I believe did tease us with a web based store with Store Currency capabilities, must have gotten side swiped after AppGameKit took over...

Here we go, found it after a short search for RickVs profile

http://tgcstore.net/browser/

Forum thread: Game Creator Store - Web Portal

But yes I want to create some models and content to sell through TGCs channels but the TGC Store err you know what I mean, confuses me as being mostly about FPSC, I think a new store should be created for NON-FPSC content and the old store be dubbed FPSC Store...

But that is just me...

I would offer to build such a store if needed... or there was enough demand for one from the community...

True! The idea of selling single props or minipacks doesn't faze me either. Mostly because I tend to make large packs where a lot of assets use the same- or everything uses an atlas texture.

Selling packs sold via the website seems like a much more common and robust strategy, but then again I basically have not the slightest idea of what I'm talking about here, its my personal taste and opinion.
