When you place an object in DB the lighting is smoothed over the faces, making the object edges look more rounded. But when I add UV mapping to a 3ds model and place it in DB the lighting is no longer smooth and the edges look sharp.

So does anyone know if theres a command im missing to turn smoothing on or off?

Thanks for any help.

Try using .x models, i always find i get better results for all sorts of models if they're in .x when usign them in DB (since DB automatically converts them from .3DS to .x when loaded)

Hope I Helped...
