Hi!
My copy of 3D Gamemaker does not run under Windows XP!
I upgraded and followed all the steps but, when I tryed again it did not work! I don't know why, because I have a GForce 4, 196MB Ram and am AMD Athlon 1400 MHz and even DirectX 9 newest version!Downloaded today!
The Problem is: I can start the Program but it crashes instantly when I try to open a scene! Does anybody know this problem?
I don't know what to do else!
Bye

You need to modify a text file called setup.ini

This file is in The 3D Gamemaker directory which is usually:

C:\Program Files\Dark Basic Software\The 3D Gamemaker

Open the file setup.ini with Notepad. You can often do this by right-clicking on the file and selecting "Open With" and then "Notepad".

Locate the lines that read:

vbcreate=0
vbusage=0

and change them to:

vbcreate=4
vbusage=3

Save the file and then restart The 3D Gamemaker. In most instances this will resolve the issues you were having. If you find that this
fixes the problem but any EXE files you produce fail, copy the setup.ini file into the same directory as the EXE file you made.

Cheers,

Rich
