I know this is probably real easy, but...

I want to know if it is possible to use music other than midi, and how to use it.

it supports
wav,wma,mp2,mp3,midi,rmi,s3m,xt,it,mod,cd-audio

and i assume they are used the same way

well, I was really wandering if I could copy music off of a cd and
put it in a file.
Then load that music from the file, so that I wouldn't always have to have the CD in.

yes, and no.
you cant just click and drag music off a cd, you have to rip it, search for CD rippers on google or something.
but yet, it is a huge issue for having illegal music on your computer, so if it aint yours, i wouldnt suggest haveing a game or program you made useing someone elses music w/o the author's knowledge of you doing so

It was my CD.
I wasn't going to use the game commercially or publically.
I wasn't going to give the game to anyone.
It was just so that I didn't have to put the CD in everytime.
