Hi everybody, I apologize very much if I am posting this in the wrong spot, please don't get mad if I am.
My question is, does anyone know where I can find a tutorial for 3D games. I learnt a lot about 2D and text commands but I would like some help understanding 3D commands (camera control, character movement/animation). So if anyone knows of a tutorial please post about it here. Oh, I know DarkBasic comes with tutorials but I don't want to buy it until I know that it is really what I want, and I can't tell that if I don't know how to use it

Thanks, Sam

There are a few that come with DB '3D Game' is too vague of a description. RPG, FPS, RTS? Plenty of code comes with DB (even the trial version) of the things you listed. They come with full working source examples so you can learn from that.

This post actually belongs in the Newcomers Corner or DB/P chat No worries tho - questions about programming in general belong over there

Also try this, open the help file and go to the camera section. Look at the help file entry for each command. Some are special usage commands but others like position camera, point camera, and set camera to follow are very useful.

I'm a book learning kind of guy, but what worked for me in learning DBP was to read through every command and then follow all the example programs until I understood what each command was doing.
