There's a pretty nice remake of it.

Who remembers...

Moonbase Commander?

@Comet
I should have known based on how long the Code Snippet took to appear

Edit: Looks like that post was removed entirely. Now we all look extra silly

I deleted it, sorry I didn't spot it earlier.

TheComet, consider the slap as a warning. I very rarely ban people, but when I do it's for a long, long time. We have no sense of humour about this stuff.

[edit] Thanks.

How about...

Maybe not that unrecognisable since it was ported to so many systems.

I loved that game. In fact, this weekend we had a massive clearout and I found my Jazz Jackrabbit cds...

And this is a game I played for many many hours when I was younger:

Imaginary expensive prize for anyone who knows what it is. (I know what it is but according to the T&Cs of the imaginary prize draw I am not eligible to enter)

Thraxas, is that the game where you have to go around and save the baby chickens or something? I remember playing something like that haha

Who remembers... Lord of Sword?

I used to play this with my brother and games like Alex the Kid and Sonic. Good times.

Chuckie Egg reminds me a lot of Nakamoto on Amiga.

Chuckie Egg looks a lot like Jumpman... but tbf I think I'm too young to really partake in this thread, considering I'm only two years older than Tomb Raider.

I remember playing it on the Mega Drive when someone brought it over.

It was one of my favourites on the Amiga, didn't know they released it for Mega Drive (I had one as well).

I remember being blown back by the fact my Amiga 500 could do 3D, so with early 3D, who remembers this?

[edit]
I know I was a little kid when we had an Amiga, but this was actually a great game!

[edit2]
Okay, I'm just getting nostalgic. This game was ace, I don't like footie, but this doesn't count.

Wow, I didn't realise the Amiga 500 looked that good. I'd be happy playing games that look like that today.

I just saw Loom by Lucas Arts on that video reel.

Talking of older 3D games

I guess Eye of the Beholder was my first RPG, didn't get far, I was like 4 or 5 and it was hard.

Quote: "I just saw Loom by Lucas Arts on that video reel"

I loved Loom. The Amiga 500 was very good, if not ahead of its time. That video reel is very nostalgic, a lot of games I remember from my childhood haha, some I have totally forgotten about. They were very good quality games.

It came out in 1987, that's a year after the NES came out in Europe, same year as the SEGA Master System and 3 years before the SNES's original release.

But check out these amazing specs for the Amiga 500 though:

OS: AmigaOS v1.2 - 1.3
CPU: Motorola 68000 @ 7.16 MHz (NTSC) 7.09 MHz (PAL)
Memory: 512 kB 150 ns (9 MB maximum)
Graphics: 36x567i 4 bpp PAL (736x483i 4 bpp NTSC), 368x567i 6 bpp PAL (368x483i 6 bpp NTSC)
Sound: 4× 8-bit channels PCM at max 28 kHz with 6-bit volume in stereo.

We had the 500+, which was more powerful and slightly more shiny.
