I used Milkshape to create a model, a simple stone tile, with gray texture on the front and a brown texture on the back. It looks fine in Milkshape.

When I load it into DBP, it looks light gray on both sides. I had the same problem loading in a "spaceship" model (if you'd seen it you'd know why I used quotes). The colors were completely washed out. I tried dimming my light (changing the color from 100, 100, 100 to 10, 10, 10), moving it farther away, changing the type of lighting...nothing worked very well.

I'm new to 3D game programming and there's likely something basic that I'm missing. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Try SET OBJECT SPECULAR Objno,0 - this will set the shine lighting downto nothing, I have to do this quite often.

Fixed it perfectly.

Thanks!
