I've published another app, made with AppGameKit, on Google Play (look! I'm a poet and I didn't know it!)
comments and 5 star reviews are appreciated!
Check it out!

Slight problem... the volume buttons don't work in-game, and the volume is forced to the highest setting, meaning the moment the game loads you are blasted with some really loud music. Not nice when people are trying to sleep, and also having full volume means the battery will drain faster. This is pretty serious considering how elementary a feature volume support is, so you should really try to get that sorted.

I'll give it a try later in the day and tell you what I think.

ok, I'll fix it asap.
It's an AppGameKit issue with the volume buttons not working, I can't even detect them!

edit: should be fixed soon

Very nice! It runs well, the graphics are nice and clean, and it's a fun game. I like the way it gives you a preview of the trajectory. It might be cool to have an advanced mode that only shows a simple arrow indicating direction and speed, for the more hardcore players.

It's a little hard on small screens (mine is 4-inch) since a little twitch as you lift your finger can alter the trajectory dramatically. I'm not sure how you could get around this problem other than having a 'fire' button that you can press while aiming (multitouch).

Regarding the volume, it works fine with headphones, it's just that when using the phone speaker it's amazingly loud. I hope you can get that sorted. I'd recommend setting the volume to 50% when launching the game, or try setting it to the system volume if you can access that. Also, on the topic of music, it's a bit manic when the drums kick in. Maybe try something more chilled out?

I tried it up to the snake mini-game and I played that a bit. The controls are a little awkward since you have to tap the edges of the screen, whereas it'd be easier if you could just tap anywhere relative to the head of the snake (ie. tap just above it to go up).

Overall I think it's a pretty good game!

actually, it does! You can turn off the preview from the settings, this'll also massively increase the performance on slow phones (it goes through 100 iterations of the physics every frame for the preview), although it's extremely difficult, especially on the hard levels.

I've experimented with this a lot and it's not really possible to fix, I do actually help it a bit though, when you remove your finger, it will jerk a lot and definitely send it off target, so I actually use the position that your finger was at 10 frames before for launching it to help it a bit.

ok, thanks for the comments, I'll look into it

alright, I'll experiment with it a bit and if it's best this way, I'll do it in the next update!

Thanks for your comments!

I noticed yesterday that my phone downloaded an update for this game. I tried it, and the music was at a much more manageable volume. However, on subsequent plays the audio has completely disappeared and I can't seem to get it back. Any idea what that might be?

Ah, good idea. Perhaps when it launches you could draw the old trajectory briefly on the screen with a rapid fade? That way you instantly know it was launched where you wanted, so you don't immediately go to restart it.

I've noticed that the 'reset' button doesn't seem to work most of the time, usually (it seems) when the bunny is in motion. It's a little irritating because you realise you have made a mistake with the trajectory and you tap the reset button several times and nothing happens. Do you only allow resetting to happen at certain times?

One more thing, possibly related to touchscreen input, is that (as the above) tapping magnets seems to be a bit hit-and-miss. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. It could possibly be my phone, but I've experimented a bit with it and it doesn't seem to be the case. On a related note, it's sooo annoying when you're trying to quickly change the polarity of a magnet and accidentally launch the bunny into the sky. Could you make it so magnets are prioritized over the bunny, so this doesn't happen?

Made it pretty far now - I'm into the 2nd set of levels.

ok, I'll do that

resetting isn't allowed after you've won of course, but it should work at other times, it could be some multitouch issues, I'm currently converting it to multi touch, but the published version only uses single touch

Do you mean when the bunny's next to the magnet and the aura is overlapping it?

With the new multi touch, you'll be able too tap the pause/reset buttons while tapping the bunny, you'll also be able to switch the magnets

Alright, experimenting with it right now

Thankyou so much for playing NB!
