AppGameKit Classic Chat / using tier1 to create apps on mac,ios

hi,

1) is it possible to use tier1 to create apps on mac and ios?

2) is there an step by step instruction to publish an agk program in the store?
-because the link in the faq redirects 'to mac site, as if there were no step by step guide.

Yes, you can use Tier 1 BASIC to develop apps that can then be released on iOS and Mac. However, you cannot develop in Tier 1 using a Mac, Tier 1 requires a Windows environment to compile. You develop the app as always using the AppGameKit IDE (or a customized alternative editor such as Sublime). When you build the app, it creates a bytecode file in the media folder. On Mac, you then make a copy of the interpreter_ios project and open it in Xcode. The bytecode file and your media gets copied to that project and you rename / add provisioning profiles etc. as with any app. Then you build, archive and distribute it as usual for release to iTunes/App Store.

Unfortunately I don't know that there is any thorough documentation on this subject yet, especially with the beta builds of AppGameKit V1 (which have made the process much easier). But if you have any specific questions along the way just ask.

I created this post to show Xcode 4 Tier 1 work on a Mac.

And here is the official AppGameKit guide here (I haven't checked to see if it has been updated since the first release).
