How are things in TGC land? It has been a while...
Any oldbies like myself still around here?

I've been thinking about becoming active in this community again for a while. I have a couple project ideas that I've been wanting to play with but I've been kind of waiting for the new AppGameKit before I get started. Anyway, just dropping by to say hello.

The pony thread got locked, so things have been a little better here lately.

I'm still here (Benjamin), albeit with a new account due to an incident involving someone posting hidden log-out links and me stupidly forgetting the password to both my forum account and associated e-mail account.

Good to see you're still alive.

Hey Ron, welcome back. I'm still here, as they say, nobody ever really leaves TGC.

Blimey, you're back! Good to see you again, hope the family is doing well.

Hope you're back to continue with the great programs you have brought to us in the past.

Haha! I was WOLF from the time I joined the original forums (way back in early 2000), through the time at the Real Game Tools forums when TGC (or DBS) didn't have it's own forums, up until about the time I became a MOD. Sometime after I gave-up the name WOLF, I saw a new user joined the forums and took the name Wolf. I was tempted to use my mod powers to change his name. Thankfully, he has done the name great justice.
I am the original though!

Yes! Very well. I hope yours is also! One of the reasons that I am trying to get back into things is that my oldest is now 12. He has shown some interest in programming so I started teaching him some AppGameKit over the summer.

You have no idea how many memories a mention of EZ Rotate brings back...

Haha! Yeah. I was convinced that the rotation system was broken in DBpro and wanted to prove it. So, I dug deep into the problem and learned rotational mathematics. It turns out that it wasn't broken. It was just really complicated. So, EZrotate was born. It was at about the same time that physics in games was taking off. EZrotate and a wrapper for the Tokamak physics engine were my first attempt at C++. It was a pretty cool time for me around here. I was helping people get past the rotation issues in DBpro and also opening a window to use physics. The first ragdoll demo felt like such a huge accomplishment! The good old days.

The sad truth is that I thought they were the same person.

Could explain a lot - not sure what though.
