it wont copy ANYTHING to the clipboard. i press [ctr]-v or edit->paste and it pastes NOTHING, as in, if i highlight stuff and press paste, it erases it all. even after i copy/cut a hundred and fifty times. anyone know whats wrong? everything else is fine, and it just started doing this, this week.

Make sure you don't have "Insert" pressed (there should be a light somewhere on your keyboard that tells you if it's pressed or not, if not, there is a little word at the bottom of teh DE window, it should say "Insert" NOT "Overwrite"...

That's about all i can suggest, other than downloading and reinstalling it agiain...

I get that occasionally when PSP3 craps the clipboard.
I have to reboot to get the clipboard reset.

My DarkEdit problem is the search function complains almost every time I do a search.

Throws up the same box several times that I have to click OK several times.

Failed to set data for 'SrchDialogSearText'
[OK]

nope, i can copy/cut/paste as normal in all programs BUT Darkedit, i have even downloaded it again to see if that would work, but nope.

That's a problem of the Delphi component Guy used for DarkEdit (an older version of DreamMemo).
I guess it's the same for heartbone's problems with the search function.

Don't use Darkedit. Its simple.Try Code keeper instead. (Showcase\apps)

The ANSWER is out there- but where?

i has been REALLY irritating not being able to copy things. i have just opened it in textpad when i wanted to do a lot of copying. but thats harder to read...

i have a problem where sometimes my objects become textured with the minimize, restore and exit buttons! maby it's a memory leak

it only happens in darkedit

my problem is I can scroll off to the right of a line of code using the right cursor key but it won't scroll up a line if you try left off a line of code.

Ok so its not a mouse.

yes you can, you just need to turn it on.
go to edit -> edit options -> 4th check down under editor options

oh, something new i found out:
i CAN copy things from the edit options menu thing. but i CANT copy ANYTHING from the code...

Um, why not try one of the many other IDE's that are available ( Most of the ones that are in production for DBPro, are also compatable with DBC )...
