Yo, geeks! I was translating Soviet song "Три танкиста", "The three tankers" in Google translate into deutch.

Here is original:
Там живут — и песня в том порука —
Нерушимой, дружною семьёй
Три танкиста — три весёлых друга —
Экипаж машины боевой.

Here is english:
Live there - and the song in the bail -
Indestructible, my new family
Three tanker - three gay friend -
The crew battle.

Gay? Old meanings of that word were: merry, cheerful, light-hearted. In our case "merry" would be correct, but dictionary also tells me that they are obsolete and gay now has one certain meaning, you know what. I am not expert but I think it is true.

But. Here is deutch:
Dort leben - und das Lied in dem Bügel -
Unverwüstlich, meine neue Familie
Drei Tanker - drei Homosexuell Freund -
Die Besatzung Schlacht.

I think "rainbow" team of GT went too far.

P.S. you can try it yourself.

PPS Oh my, I forgot to write the second part of the post:

What GT fails do you know? I know they were, some were fixed after being exposed to public.

Homosexuell is the direct translation of "homosexual".

Gay would translate into "schwul" if you want a more proper german translation.

The translation of the instrument "bassoon" into german is also interesting.

Next fail:

russian -> lithuanian
Путин проиграл выборы. Путин победил на выборах. en: Putin has lost the election. Putin won the election.
Putinas pralaimėjo rinkimus. Putinas laimėjo rinkimus.

lithuanian -> russian
Putinas pralaimėjo rinkimus. Putinas laimėjo rinkimus.
Путин победил на выборах. Путин победил на выборах. en: Putin won the election. Putin won the election.

Nice one!!!

Next fail:

Я надеюсь на армян. -> I look forward to the Armenians. (correct)
Я верю в армян. -> I believe in the genocide. (???)

My personal fail:
Я, конечно, могу писать по-английски. -> I certainly can not write in English.

Google loves to add/remove "not" where he wants.

Next fail:
Пройдите прямо и налево. -> Go right and left. (right instead of straight)

Try 'bassoon' into Spanish as well.

An interesting one is 'Vader' from Dutch into English!

Here's a great one:
Enter "Will justin bieber ever reach puberty" into the left side, translate from English to Vietnamese
Copy the Vietnamese text, press the swap languages button, enter the Vietnamese text into the "Vietnamese to English"
Find out the truth.

Here's another one, you all know what Lorem ipsum is right? Well let's see what it means. set it to "English to Latin", type 'Sexy Football" into the English side. And there it is! Lorem Ipsum!
Of course it you switch the languages and type Lorem Ipsum, you'll find it means

I don't think so as you can find a lot of examples of it (from Asia, mostly China).

Quote: "Will justin bieber ever reach puberty"

Tee hee, as I said before Google loves to invert statements.

Quote: "Пройдите прямо и налево. -> Go right and left. (right instead of straight)"

Hmm... can "go right" be used as "go straight"?

This...

Quote: "Там живут — и песня в том порука —
Нерушимой, дружною семьёй
Три танкиста — три весёлых друга —
Экипаж машины боевой."

== this in English via Bing Translate...

Quote: "Live there — and the practice of one-song
Indestructible, družnoû family
Three tankman — three hilarious friend —
Crew battle.
"

I sense a clearer message...

Here is the Dutch...

Quote: "Er wonen — en de praktijk van één-nummer
Onverwoestbaar, družnoû familie
Drie tankman — drie hilarische vriend —
Bemanning slag."

And German for extra measure in case I am unsure which Germanic language was sought after...

Quote: "Dort leben — und die Praxis der ein-Song
Unverwüstlich, Družnoû Familie
Drei Tankman — drei lustigen Freund —
Besatzung kämpfen."

I stopped using GT some years ago...

Yep, it's correct but have other flaws.

Here is my humble translation:

Там живут — и песня в том порука —
They live out there - and the song is a guarantee -
Нерушимой, дружною семьёй
In unbreakable, united family
Три танкиста — три весёлых друга —
Three tankmen - three cheerful friends
Экипаж машины боевой.
The crew of a combat vehicle.
