Hello everyone! for the past 3-5 years I have been developing a fairly complex ROS (robot operating system) for robots! I am very well aware of the ROS that runs on ubuntu, but I call my ROS PAD! The reason I started on a ROS project is because I want to make an ROS that is not only for the developer, but to also be used by the common folk.
here is a list of features for the ROS already implemented:
-text to speech
-voice recognition
-propeller chip support
-command line
-GUI's for certain things
-dynamic volcab databases
-looking up data on internet
-works with lua (to make apps)
-robot apps
-can play music
-looks up forecast
-can work with SQL
-works with http servers (live updates)
-controlled from LAN based connection (if needed)
-support for making java applications
future features (done before kickstarter):
-full support vision (based on opencv)
-webMD support (virtual symptom looker upper)
-ARM processor support
-maybe raspberry pi support
I just got done with the SDK tools that run on a PC then you can develop the app, send it wireless to your robot for testing and then send it to the app market. The app market is not up yet, but I did test one app and it seemed to work.
Anyways I figured I would share what I have been working on for a while, and yes I will be using agk for the mobile app controllers for the robots! I will also start a kickstarter near Christmas.
If you guys have any opinions or suggestions please comment, and you can do a survey I made to help me know what the people want (just 9 questions):

p.s. I have no idea for any stretch goals either so any ideas would be great
ohhh and this is just a virtual OS, which is common for all ROS's
