I bought Fallout 3 (box) a while back. It's available on Steam and I would like to have it on the Steam cloud. How could I do this? Is it possible?

It's not possible.
Any game bought on a disc BEFORE it came on steam is not "transferable" to steam, essentially.

Unless it says, on the box "asdjshjdh steam sahdbash" then it's not possible.

Literally?

If you don't have activation code inside the box (which you may try to feed to Steam), you can create a shortcut in Steam for your game to make it appear in your Steam library. That's the only you can do.

But, if he makes it appear in steam library - he still wont have access to the cloud, which he can only have by making steam accept his codez~

Which it won't, because Fallout 3 was a GFWL (games for windows live) title.

I simply bought the Steam version for $20. It came with all the DLC and I was able to use my old save games. So I only lost $20.....
