First off, I'm probably posting this way too early. Now that I've got that off my chest...

Dai Jon: The Planet Hunter is being worked on. It is a turned based combat strategy game where you try to take over the Earth in medievil times. There are two play modes, Story (where you actually try to take over Earth) and Arena (where you fight against other planet hunters from your home planet). All of the media is made by me, except for the Alien (not shown in the screenshots), a few sound effects, and the music, which is made and being used with permission by Ethan E. Eves (www.e3-music.com).

Now for the screenshots that will probably seal the fate of this thread (some of these are just models of the characters or arenas I will use in the game and that you've probably seen before in 3D chat):















Well, I know its not much, but I'm happy with it (by what little work I've done so far anyway). Comments welcome, but try to remember the first line in this post

looks cool! only crit is that the writing on the menu screen looks tiny, almost unreadable, maybe it should be bigger?

Yeah, going to make font on the title screen bigger. Dont worry about that.

cool. think you need better textures on the levels and if you show us more of the inter faces we may be able to make so good Comments that may help you.

good luck and hope you get this do becos it look like it will be a lot of fun to play.

Decent looking game youve got there-like the viewpoint - what angle is the camera at there? Is it 45,45,0 or 30,30,0 or something else?

Ok then, new, better screenshot, reworked the engine. Back to the 3rd person adventure, the 3rd person Turned Based Strategy was too slow and boring.

Its stone. Think those really old castles with the cracked stone floors. If you really want to know, thats the Alien Arena. Its for whenever you decide to battle in the arena instead of playing the story.

Well, I've fixed a small collision problem that would make all collision a bit jumpy, and you couldnt manuever easily (yet, its based on a really bad engine I've used many times before). Not to mention I've finally started on some AI types. I've got one that would be great for Vultures or other Hunting Birds that scan the ground for prey.

The alien and the punk rocker are one and the same. Your punk rocker get up is just your illusion suit trying to blend you in with the local life (but apparently it got it wrong, getting you to look like something from the future )
