I just checked the original picture (Yes, Raven, I still have it) and for the sake of honesty I have to tell everyone that Ermes pulled that as a prank-- his ears aren't actually that big .

Someone posted 2 3ds Max renders of the alien in a different thread a week ago, one image was in a party room, the other was doing a Matrix Wall run. Anyway, I don't think they can be counted as no one started posting images because of those 2 pics, I think this thread and that one are totally unrelated.

Yeah, just look at the 'The Game Creators Ltd' account:

http://www.turbosquid.com/HTMLClient/Search/Index.cfm/FuseAction/ProcessSmartSearch/istIncAuthor/The%20Game%20Creators%20Ltd/blAuthorExact/y

I hope this is legit, otherwise that would be very, very, sad.

If it's legit, why would they sell a single one of those models at the price of the whole DarkMatter package...

I seriously hope this is legit though... if not...

4 of them once appeared on a 3D mag in the UK, under the Turbosquid banner, boasting "Over £200 of animated models". They were from Darkmatter 1, which I got free with my DB classic.

The reason for the high price on Turbo Squid is they would not accept them any lower. To do so would undermine the value of 3d models on Turbo Squid and effect the earnings of the 3D modellers who, as a whole, think that 6 billion poly models with 18 smoothing layers are worth a lot of money.

if some one is so dum thay pay $84 for some thing that thay can have 40 of for $72 then let them.

if TCM is sell them to ideas for $84 a pop the there makeing $70
more then wood by sell a copy of darkmatter.

but there no laws saying that TCG can`t under cut the over modelers and put and sell them for what thay do on to us on Dark Matter
