My AppGameKit editor has stopped working properly. First off, the compile tool bar has disappeared. Not a big deal at first as I use F5 to compile.

But then, I can no longer open source files in the editor, which makes the editor useless!

I tried updating to beta21 thinking it would reset whatever's gone wrong, but it didn't.

See this video of my plight..

Never mind about the code not appearing, there was a problem with the project.. My Bad.

Not too bothered about the missing toolbar but help will be appreciated anyway.

Try turning the toolbar off and on again? Maybe reboot?

There's a great thread around here somewhere about setting up Sublime text as your AppGameKit IDE. It works 100x better. I've been using it for nearly a year and I love it!

Sublime is an awesome IDE, i havn't tried the AppGameKit version though

The codex IDE that someone (I can't remember who) posted a while back is really good aswell.

I should also note that AGK's codeblocks IDE is buggy. It'll often lock me out of editing a file until I click out then back in. I think it is remnants of XP coding that Win7+ seems to have some issues with from time to time.

As an IT professional, I tried that first.

I get something similar, which I noticed is caused by a dialog box that opens up but hides behind the main window and thus I don't know its open and can't click on anything.

Whenever I get issues with the IDE (which happens periodically), the first thing I do is delete the CodeBlocks Config file as this corrupts and causes all kinds of crazy issues...

For me (Windows 8), this file is located in [User Name]/App Data/Roaming/CodeBlocks...

Maybe give that a try?
