Hey everyone,

I'm having trouble implementing ads into my game. They are appearing way too large, taking up most of the screen. Is there any way to scale them? I'm using a virtual resolution of about 90 width and the height is calculated based on the aspect ratio.

Cheers

AdMob ads won't scale on Android, but will on iOS.
So on Android they always show at 320px wide (might be 300px...).
So I wonder if you set your virtual resolution to something higher if the ads will actually appear scaled.

Are they always exactly 300px by 50real pixels, no matter the device size/ppi?

Yes I always thought it was "real" pixels and not scaled.
On iOS you can set the scaling with AppGameKit commands, but Android scaling doesn't work.
I understand why AdMob wouldn't want to scale them. I couldn't imagine one of my ads at 300px being scaled up to 600 or even down. It would make them illegible or just plain ugly.

The admod ads on my app are displaying now at 640 by 100 pixels, so I'm guessing it changes based on pixel density

Must be.
They appeared unscaled for me, but I use the percentage system which may affect it.
