Well, it´s actually quite good, but if you don´t read the documentations properly, you are lost in the woods. I needed almost a week to figure out how everything works.
On the other hand, it´s more powerful than Desura, especially the "virtual SVN" is great.
From a marketing / review point of view, I guess it heavily depends on who from Valve is your contact, we had a quite motivated partner there.

Congrats Ertlov, I just made the purchase. It's nice to see a FPSC game on steam. For all those people who said it wouldn't/couldn't be done, here's the proof that FPSC is capable.

Yeah, but it took almost 4 years from the first prototype till now.

However - thx a lot for your support!

Congrats Ertlov, it is nice to see a fpsc game on steam but shame the feedback bad for the game.

The version of fpsc used is so buggy and save and load does not work right as well.

Many of these bugs have just been fixed.

Maybe an update on steam is needed at a later date.

yet again well done

Congratulations on this, well done!

Many people have pie-in-the-sky dreams of releasing their own game, but flake out or don't have the drive to see it though to the end.

I'll bet it's quite a rush to see your game on the biggest publishing platform in the world. And it's something to be proud of.

I'd be very interested to hear more about your experience with Steam. Do you have a contact that helped you through the process?

Funny, I've just purchased Painkiller Resurrection, and let's say that it didn't excited me like a Painkiller game is supposed to do so. It was plagued by glitches, even if the levels are beautifully crafted, and I'm serious about this, People Can Fly can be proud of you, guys. I've also tried the Anderson demo version, don't be offended but it was a uninteresting game with a numerous amount of design flaws and leveldesign oddities.

I know. The game was scheduled for release in December 2009, however, the publisher went to the brink of bankruptcy in fall 2009 and released the game in Alpha / Beta state end of october.

Well, than Into the Dark most likely is nothing of you, it shares a basic gamedesign approach, however, you can try the old demos from Desura before buying.

However, we have right now 14 positive reviews on steam with only 4 negative ones, the first two reviews we got are very positive, so hell, it runs very good right now.

I read all the reviews and it seems that fpsc holds up well, the bad reviews are more towards the game then the engine.

You can't please everyone and I think the people who give the bad reviews don't get the game.

A very well done on what you achived here from a £30 game engine.

Fpsc has so much more in it that people don't even use half what it can do and you shown that games can be made with the engine.

well done best s4real

Jupp! Someone even mentions that the gunplay is alright...which it really is by now! I find current FPSC guns without even modding them all that much play better than those in the FPS Sections of Splinter Cell Blacklist.

Congratulations, but may I ask how long did it take for steam to contact you and release your game, after it was greenlit?

Ertlov, I can't even begin to tell you how much this game gave me and the rest of my crew hope! All those jerks and losers and wanna be internet news reporters are making you famous and the ones who love the game are out there making you a bigger winner than Charlie Sheen. So yea, You're "WINNING!" How good is your game under the power of FPSC? Simple! I'd rather play this over Postal 2 Weekend apocalypse or a piece of crap like ANY of the bargain bin garbage over the last 10 years like Psychotoxic. Not one of them runs on Win 7 or 8 worth a darn. FPSC's ITD ran so smooth on the low and High ends it literately put even Duke Nukem Forever's frame rate to shame!!! If anyone's FPSC powered game is going to be the next Daikatana, It's most likely going to be ours, Not putting our project down on purpose.Seriously, Your game is getting up there like Prey or a classic like Rise of the Triad. Keep up the great work and when is the sequel to this trash?

hi, ive just been reading reviews on this game when I saw this video. im considering buying it but im worried its a waste of money because it has so many bad reviews. is it the same game?

------

the game wont work it says intothedark.04293_crack.exe stopped working how do i fix this?

-----------

nvm fixed it a friend lent me his non-steam copy

well i just tried it. i have to say its really not good. i mean, really disappointing. i was juging by the marketting that it would be a b-movie game but its not even as good as one of them. al the way thru it just feels like it was thrown together in 5 minutes. you really should have spent more time developing your game. congrats though on getting it published on steam, thats really exiting! i hope that next time you can hire some better artists nd maybe use java or something.

is there any way i can get a refund? thanx in advanced

It wasn´t on greenlight, Steam took it directly from me.

The funny thing is that it hasn´t even a copy protection, it runs in steam offline mode...
...so I guess every crack is a virus carrier or a fake

Thx a lot for your nice words!

The sequel will be released in the 2nd half of 2015 if everything runs smooth.
