FIXED and HOW TO is in next message
Faulting application name: FPSC-MapEditor.exe, version: 1.0.0.0,
Exception code: 0xc0000005
Fault offset: 0x0417a1a2
Faulting process id: 0x133c
Problem signature:
P1: FPSC-MapEditor.exe
P2: 1.0.0.0
P3: 4d460aea
P4: StackHash_0a9e

Please check out the image, when opening FPSC the Editor is messed up. The image explains it better than I can..

To correct this I have done the following,
Run as Administrator UAC OFF

Installed Microsoft DirectX SDK (March 2009)
Installed Directx 8 9 9c and 10
have msvcp71.dll in FPSC dir
have msvcr71.dll in FPSC dir

I lost my system to a vicious attack. and am rebuilding..
I had almost everything backed up so no worries there but FPSC is among the first to get fixed and it's NOT WORKING>. and driving me crazy..

I put the FPSC DVD in I bought in 2011 and it works..
however
when I try to install
unoffcial_fpsc_v1.20_beta_19g
FPS CreatorOffical120_117
FPSC_120_Nov2013
FPS_Creator_V120_BETA17a
FPS_Creator_V120_BETA18
RPGmod_v5.54_FPSC_120Version
unoffcial_fpsc_v1.20.19_beta_v1.19
unoffcial_fpsc_v1.20.19_beta_v1.18

Upon installing all the above:::
I get first the usual files missing so I put in the
C:\Program Files\The Game Creators\FPS Creator\Files\editors\gfx
directory then try to open the editor and get the messed up screen,

FOUND a FIX,,, If WIN7 32bit have this issue here is a Fix to try., It worked for me.
The error is ::

Go to Control Panel -> Programs and Features.
On the left-hand side, click on 'View Installed Updates'.
Under the 'Microsoft Windows' section, search for and uninstall KB2670838
Restart computer when prompted.

Details on what this update does are provided here: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2670838
Then
start FPSC by Right Clicking the FPSCreator.exe and selecting Troubleshoot Compatibility, Run a decent sized level add a few segments and copy a entity or 2. DO a test game and save,, then exit. the Trouble shooter will tell you FPSC is incompatible but will add settings and set FPSC as winxp service pack2 and Mapeditor and FPSC GAME as XP service pack3.

So far so good.. Running fine for me,.
